Career exploration is more than choosing a job, it's discovering the gifts God has given you and preparing to use them wisely. That road may require extra effort, extra education, and perseverance, but it often leads to a successful future filled with purpose and opportunity.
Your greatest asset isn't your investment portfolio, your business, or your career. It's your health.
Never forget why you chose this work. The conversations you have, the time you invest, and the belief you show in someone today may become the turning point they remember for the rest of their lives.
Confidence isn't found. It's built. Every interview, job shadow, volunteer opportunity, and work experience prepares young people for adulthood.
Challenge: Help one young person take their next step this week. Share below what opportunity you will connect them with?
Success is often less about talent and more about management. Managing:
• Your time
• Your priorities
• Your emotions
• Your relationships
• Your finances
What area of life requires more attention right now?
Every successful adult was once unsure about what career to pursue, what path to take, or whether they were making the right decision.
Progress doesn't require certainty; it requires the courage to take the next step, learn, adapt, and keep moving forward.
What is one life skill you wish every teen understood before leaving high school?
You don't have to have your entire future figured out today. But exploring careers can open doors to opportunities you never knew existed. Curiosity today could become your career tomorrow.
What career first sparked your interest?
As business professionals, we don't just hire young people; we help shape the next generation of employees, leaders, and entrepreneurs.
What's one lesson from your first job that still influences how you work or lead today?

With the help of local professionals and youth in foster care, ILS Alliance will be a powerful resource to help teens and young adults succeed by connecting them with vital information, opportunities, and businesses that want to support their journey. We’re building a nationwide network of partners offering our young people discounts, mentorship, training, and even jobs.
Being listed on the website is one way to show your support to the community. However, the ILS Alliance is more than just about showing. All partners must be open to speaking with young people interested in their line of work via in-person or digital meetings and allow them to observe their work on a set day/time we will display on member profiles. In the best case scenario, you help train up a youth that someday comes to work for you, with you, or in the industry they’ve dreamt about.
Joining the Alliance starts at $500 annually, and advertising opportunities exist as we promote this Alliance to communities nationwide. The funds will help the Alliance create jobs for teens and young adults, and train them in skills for various industries via in-person and virtual meetings. We will start by hosting monthly meetings for them that will become weekly this Summer. Our first in-person meeting was a luncheon on March 29th at Mobley Homes to hear about trades of the industry and tour a model home. It was a great experience and we will do more!
The world tempts young people in many ways that can devastate their lives. Your membership will give them alternatives to better opportunities. We also look forward to sharing their experiences with you in our monthly Independent Living magazine, which focuses on relationships, health, finance, and resources.
Thank you for your time and support of this mission. We will list only three individuals/companies in the same industry on the website, so join now by calling 813-833-3495 or sending an e-mail to carnell@ilsalliance.com. I look forward to us making a difference together!
